In Plein Sight - Art in Open Air for Jeffco Open Spaces

Presented by PLAN Jeffco, this plein air painting event celebrates the beauty of Jefferson County, Colorado Open Space parks. The event includes a week of plein air painting culminating in a VIP reception and 2-day art show and sale featuring freshly painted landscapes.

Participating artists will paint in Jefferson County's open spaces including South Valley Park, Mount Falcon Park, White Ranch Park, Crown Hill Park, and along Clear Creek. The orientation meeting is October 3, 2016, with painting on open space parks October 3-8, 2016. The art show reception is October 8, 2016, and the show continues October 8-9, 2016 at the Golden Community Center in Golden, Colorado. Unsold paintings may be picked up October 9, 2016.

Entry fee is $35 (non-refundable). Artists may submit up to five images for jurying, representative of their typical work. Subject matter must reflect Jefferson County Open Spaces. All work must be wired and ready to hang. Submissions should include a brief biography, price range, and artist website. Notification of acceptance will be no later than April 29, 2016, with a deadline for artists to accept invitations by May 15, 2016. All work submitted and displayed must be available for sale. PLAN Jeffco will handle all sales with a 60/40 split (60% to artist, 40% to PLAN Jeffco). Artists are responsible for insurance if desired. The event is open to all artists painting in plein air.
