About This Call
Emerge is a regional competition for students and emerging artists ages 18–25 from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan. For over 30 years, ADC has been dedicated to supporting living artists, and Emerge represents a new initiative designed to spark momentum, open doors, and help launch the next generation of creative voices.
Selected works will be featured in an in-person exhibition and opening night inside ADC's 13,000 sq. ft. gallery located in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine district. This professional, high-visibility setting places young artists directly into the art world alongside collectors, industry professionals, and the broader arts community.
Artists will compete for $25,000 in total awards, including $5,000 in grants, SmartSell memberships, subject and medium awards, and additional recognition. The application deadline is March 5, 2026.
