In Flux Cycle 4 Request for Qualifications (RFQ)

IN FLUX Cycle 4 is a Request for Qualifications seeking Arizona artists to create temporary public art installations in vacant spaces across eight Valley cities: Chandler, Glendale, Gilbert, Goodyear, Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe. The initiative brings together eleven organizations representing these cities to commission local artists for site-specific installations.

Eligibility: Arizona artists (individuals, collectives, groups, or teams). Artists commissioned in Cycle 3 are not eligible. Applicants must submit 5 images. There are 16+ project opportunities with budgets ranging from $3,500-$7,000, all-inclusive of labor, transportation, equipment rental, shipping, material costs, and artist fees for installation and de-installation. All projects are temporary and will remain on view for a maximum of twelve months.

Deadline: September 16, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Selection panel will recommend one artist and one alternate per available project opportunity in a public process. Selected artists will be notified via email by October 4, 2013, and will develop proposals prior to commission. Projects are scheduled for installation beginning December 6, 2013, with de-installations scheduled individually between May-October 2014.
