In Conversation with The Land

International call for entries exploring how we think about and engage with the land. The exhibition theme invites photographers and artists to explore loss, longing, mystery, and hope in relation to the climate crisis and human intervention in the landscape.

Curator Karen Haas, Lane Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston since 2001, will select works for a virtual exhibition with large-scale outdoor projections running September 3 - December 31, 2021, with projection dates on selected dates September - November. Selected artists will be notified August 7th. On September 15th, there will be an evening public virtual conversation with the curator and award winners on Zoom.

Submissions must include 3-15 images at 1500 pixels on the longest side at 72 PPI. Entry fee is $30 for non-members or $25 for members (covers 3 images), with additional images at $3.00 each. Fee waivers are available upon request. Awards include Jurors Award ($400), Directors Award ($200), and Honorable Mentions. Three selected artists will receive 20-minute online portfolio reviews with the curator. International eligibility.
