About This Call
ImPRESSion is an exhibition of fine art printmaking created in traditional methods such as screen printing, letterpress, relief, monotype, lithography, and intaglio. Works may be no larger than 20" and frames may reach a maximum of no more than 24". The exhibition will take place in The Vault, a historical bank vault within d'Art Center located in the heart of Norfolk's Arts District (The NEON District). This intimate space will accommodate approximately 25 works and will be curated by d'Art Center Gallery Director Amanda Bradley. The exhibition will also be featured digitally on d'Art Center's archive site.
Entry fee is $30 for 3 submissions (one image per artwork submission). Additional submissions beyond 3 are $5 each, with a maximum of 10 works that can be submitted for jury consideration. Minimum image submission requirement is 3 images; artists may submit 3 different works, detail images, or the same image 3 times. For 3D works, create a tile image showing multiple sides or use additional image slots for detail images. The Best in Show award is $300. Gallery commission on sales is 60/40 (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). Works can also be marked NFS (not for sale).
The exhibition runs Saturday, January 10th - Saturday, February 7th, 2026. Opening reception is Thursday, January 15th, 2026, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. (dual opening with the Merged Exhibit in The Main Gallery). Jury notifications will be sent by email by 5pm Monday, November 17th, 2025. Accepted works must arrive by 5pm Saturday, December 20th, 2025. Works can be shipped or hand-delivered by pre-arrangement. Artists are responsible for shipping costs. Works must include pre-paid return labels through FedEx or UPS. Works should be shipped in reusable containers without packing peanuts. Works can be picked up starting Tuesday, February 10th, 2026. For questions about eligibility, contact [email protected].
