imPressed: National Call for Entry Printmaking Exhibit

Art Gym Gallery invites printmakers living in the United States to submit work to the 3rd annual imPressed national call for entry printmaking exhibit. The exhibition, on view March 22, 2018 through April 14, 2018, aims to highlight current trends in contemporary American printmaking and showcase a cross-section of artists working in a variety of traditional, alternative, and experimental print processes.

Accepted print processes include monoprint, screen print, intaglio, photopolymer, photogravure, collagraph, stone lithography, plate lithography, photo plate lithography, relief, woodcut, linocut, cone-cut, risograph, steam roller, book arts, and prints utilizing laser engraving as a component. Inkjet and giclée will not be accepted. Artists may submit up to 3 works with a $25 non-refundable submission fee. Art dimensions should not exceed 48 inches in any direction. Artists must be residents of the United States and 18 years or older. Art must be original and not a reproduction. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs for delivery and return of artwork. Art Gym Denver will receive a 30% commission on all work sold.

Awards include 1st Prize of $500 and 2nd Prize of $200. The juror is Craig Zammiello, a Master Printer with over 40 years of experience in printmaking. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent by email on February 23, 2018. All artwork must be delivered by mail or dropped off at Art Gym Denver by March 16, 2018. The opening reception is Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 5-8 pm. Unsold work pickup is scheduled for Monday, April 16, 2018.
