Impressed 2024: National Juried Printmaking Exhibition

Art Gym Gallery invites artists to submit work to the 6th Impressed national printmaking exhibition. Launched in 2016, Impressed celebrates a cross-section of both traditional and alternative printmaking methods being used in contemporary printmaking from artists of all professional levels. This exhibition runs in conjunction with Denver's Month of Printmaking (Mo'Print), a celebration of the art of making original prints to inspire, educate and promote awareness through a variety of public events and exhibitions in Denver and the metropolitan region.

The exhibition will be held at Art Gym Gallery in Denver, Colorado from March 21 – April 14, 2024, with an opening reception on Thursday, March 21, 2024, 6-9 pm. Artists may submit up to 3 images for consideration. The submission deadline is January 28, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST. The non-refundable entry fee is $25. Notification emails will be sent to all artists on February 5, 2024. Accepted artwork must be delivered by mail or hand-delivered to Art Gym Denver by March 11, 2024.

Four cash prizes will be awarded, selected by the juror and the Art Gym Gallery Curator: 1st Prize $400, 2nd Prize $200, 3rd Prize $100, and 4th Prize $50. All artworks must be original works utilizing a form of traditional hand printed media as their primary technique. Eligible techniques include monoprint, monotype, screen print, etching, engraving, drypoint, photopolymer, photogravure, collagraph, stone lithography, plate lithography, woodcut, linocut, steamroller, letterpress, and book-arts. Printmaking-based installations and mixed media are considered if they include hand-pulled prints with detailed presentation/installation instructions. Ineligible artworks include those composed solely of inkjet, laser prints, pigmented prints, risograph, photocopy, laser engraving, or giclée reproductions. Artists must be residents of the United States and 18+ years old. Art Gym Gallery will receive a 30% commission on all work sold. The gallery will pay for return shipping costs of all unsold artwork. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to the gallery and are recommended to carry insurance covering the full replacement value of their artwork.
