Imaginings: A Benefit Exhibit by the Abstract Art Collective for the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation

The Abstract Art Collective (AAC) is seeking submissions for "Imaginings," a juried member-only benefit exhibition for the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation. This exhibition features abstract art in both 2D and 3D formats, with juror Mark Ashton Hunt, a gallery owner and art collector with 15+ years of experience in the Santa Barbara art scene.

The exhibition runs November 1-30, 2023 at Voice Gallery, La Cumbre Plaza, 121 S. Hope Avenue, Santa Barbara. Events include an opening reception on November 2 (5-8pm), a 3rd Friday reception on November 17 (5-8pm), ingathering on October 30 (10am-12pm, with hanging 12pm-5pm), and takedown on November 30 (10am-12pm). Acceptance notification is October 20.

Eligibility: Current AAC members only. No refunds for non-members. Entry fee is $30 for the first entry, $10 for each additional entry (up to 5 entries). Submit 1-5 images online through CaFE by October 10, 11pm PST. 2D work must be no more than 4 feet wide with frame, no more than 6 inches deep, and back-wired with standard picture wire. Paintings must be clean and dust-free with clean glass. No giclée copies; inkjet prints of digitally created work, hand-pulled prints, and photography are accepted. No unframed lightweight canvases less than 1-3/8" in depth or sawtooth hangers. 3D sculptures must be less than 100 lbs, less than 8 feet high, and take less than 6 square feet of floor space.
