About This Call
This is a jury-only exhibition open exclusively to those who have previously been accepted. No new entrants will be accepted.
The I.M.A.G.I.N.E. PEACE NOW Exhibition (Innovative Merger of Art & Guns to Inspire New Expressions) is a call intended especially for contemporary metal artists. Included work will respond to and initiate conversations regarding gun violence in American culture. The jury panel will select awards at their discretion, works for inclusion in the Grand Opening Exhibition at East Carolina University, the following exhibition at the Society of Arts and Crafts, and catalog inclusion and placement.
Jurors are: Emily Zilber (Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Ronald C. & Anita L. Wornick Curator of Contemporary Decorative Arts), Monica Moses (Editor in Chief, American Craft Magazine), Shepard Fairey (Artist, Designer and Activist), and Boris Bally (Metalsmith). Work samples should include 1-3 images and up to 1 video. Since entrants have already paid a fee, none is required for this submission.
