Imagine

Imagine is a juried competition open to artists nationwide. The competition opens April 22, 2019, with an entry deadline of July 16, 2019. Accepted artists will be notified on July 24, 2019. The exhibition runs from August 25 to September 30, 2019, at Gallery by the Lake in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Four award categories are offered: (1) Oils, acrylics and pastels, (2) Watercolor, (3) Mixed media, and (4) Drawing, pencils, charcoal or pen and ink. Awards are $200 for first place, $75 for second place, and $25 for third place in each category. Entrants must be at least 18 years old, and pieces must have been completed within the last 3 years. Artists may submit up to 3 pieces per entry. The entry fee is $35 for up to three entries. Submissions are made via CAFE Entry at callforentry.org.

Accepted works may be gallery wrapped canvases or framed and wired for hanging. Framed image size cannot exceed 30" x 36" or an area of more than 1,080 square inches. Accepted works must be delivered to the Gallery by August 16, 2019. Ship to: Gallery by the Lake, Inc, 106 W Pryce Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601. Artwork must be shipped in reusable, prepaid boxes with prepaid return shipping arranged. Awards will be announced at the opening reception on August 25, 2019. A 20% gallery commission will be assessed on sales during the show. The Gallery reserves the right to reproduce accepted entries for press releases, website, and social media promotion.
