Images 2012: The Juried Exhibition of the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts

Images 2012 is a juried mid-Atlantic regional exhibition for fine art and fine craft established by the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts in 1989. The exhibition will be held in the Robeson Gallery in the HUB-Robeson Center on the University Park campus of The Pennsylvania State University from June 6 to July 15, 2012.

Images 2012 is open to artists residing in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and the District of Columbia. Digital images of original work produced within the last three years may be submitted. The exhibition will feature drawings, paintings, mixed media, photography, hand-pulled prints, watercolors, fiber, ceramic, paper, and sculpture in any medium. Sculpture must be no heavier than 150 pounds. Installations that will result in damage to gallery walls, ceilings or other property are not permitted. A maximum of three images may be entered, one per artwork. The entry fee is $30.00, and applications must be completed before midnight Eastern Time on March 23, 2012.

A minimum of $3,000 will be awarded, including one Best of Show Award and five Merit awards. The Revington Arthur Foundation sponsors an award for Excellence in Painting and the Viewer's Choice Award. There is an additional media specific award, the William D. Davis Award in Drawing. Artists will be notified regarding their applications by email on April 18, 2012. Upon acceptance, work must be delivered or shipped via UPS in prepaid, sturdy reusable crates to arrive between May 10 and May 12, 2012. All works will be insured for their sale price as declared by the artist while in care of the Pennsylvania State University. The Robeson Gallery does not charge a sales commission. An online catalog of the exhibition will be published by the CPFA as a portion of the Festival's web site.
