Images 2011: The Gallery Exhibition of the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts

Images 2011 is a juried mid-Atlantic regional exhibition for fine art and fine craft, now in its twenty-third year. Sponsored by the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, the exhibition is open to artists residing in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and the District of Columbia.

The exhibition will display drawings, paintings, mixed media, photography, hand-pulled prints, watercolors, fiber, ceramic, paper, and sculpture in any medium. Sculpture must be no heavier than 150 pounds. Digital images of original work produced within the last three years may be submitted. A maximum of three images may be entered, one per artwork, except for fiber and sculpture artists who may submit a second image such as a detail shot or side view. The entry fee is $30 (non-refundable). Only complete applications submitted before midnight MST on March 18, 2011 will be considered.

The exhibition will be held in the Robeson Gallery in the HUB-Robeson Center on the University Park campus of Pennsylvania State University from June 8 to July 17, 2011. The juror is Ron Rumford, Director of Philadelphia's Dolan/Maxwell Gallery. A minimum of $3,000 will be awarded, including one Best of Show Award, five Merit awards, the Revington Arthur Foundation Award for Excellence in Painting, the Viewer's Choice Award, and the William D. Davis Award in Drawing. Artists will be notified on April 11, 2011. Accepted work must be delivered or shipped to arrive between May 10 and May 14, 2011. An illustrated online catalog and paper gallery guide will be published. The Robeson Gallery does not charge a sales commission.
