ILLUMINATE Light Art + Creative Tech Fest 2026

ILLUMINATE is a Light Art + Creative Technology Festival held at Library Square in Downtown Salt Lake City on March 6th & 7th, 2026 from 5p - 10p both nights. This free event is produced by the Utah Arts Alliance and invites the community to explore the city through light, art, and technology, highlighting local history, culture, and community.

The festival features original works of exhibiting artists only—no imports, commercial, or purchased for resale work. Only 10 vendors will be selected through jury review. Exhibitors must be at least 18 years old or submit parent/guardian consent prior to the event. The application deadline is January 12, 2026. A non-refundable jury fee of $25 is required with application submission.

Booth rental is $125 for a 10' x 10' space. Vendors must provide their own tent (strongly suggested to be closable and secured at night), tables, tablecloths, decorative elements, lighting, and all display materials. If using electricity, extension cords and Gaffer tape are required to prevent tripping hazards. Electric heaters are not permitted. Equipment rental options are available: 10x10 tent ($100, limited availability), 6 ft table ($15), chair ($5 each), and sand bags ($20 for 4). Artists are required to be at their booths for the duration of the event. All vendors must check in at the Info Booth and will receive a Temporary Tax ID # for sales. Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting Utah State sales tax on any sales made at the festival. A refund policy applies: full refund up to 45 days before the event, 75% refund up to 30 days before, 50% refund up to 14 days before, and no refunds within 14 days of the event.
