About This Call
The Soldotna City Council invites artists of all ages to submit sticker designs for the second annual "I Voted" Sticker Design Contest. Voting stickers are distributed to voters to declare they've exercised their right to vote and remind others to make their voice heard. Winning artwork will be printed on circular stickers and distributed to voters across the area.
Artists must submit original designs that celebrate voting and Soldotna, Alaska between March 17 and June 16, 2025. Designs must include the words "I Voted" or "Future Voter" depending on the category, be nonpartisan, and must not reference candidates, political parties, or include obscene, violent, or defamatory content. Submissions must be original artwork without stock photos, borrowed images, AI-generated imagery, product logos, or copyrighted characters. Digital submissions must be JPEG or JPG format, under 5 MB, and 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side. Hand-rendered submissions must be drawn on white paper.
Three categories are available: Future Voter (elementary students under 13), Youth (middle and high school students ages 13-18), and Adult (19+). All applicants must reside on or be enrolled in school on the Kenai Peninsula. A panel of judges will select finalists in each category, then the public will vote to determine winners. Winners receive cash prizes ($250 for Future Voter, $500 for Youth and Adult), a seasonal pass to the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex, and City of Soldotna promotional items. The timeline includes preliminary judging June 16-30, public voting July 1-20, and winner announcement July 26. Stickers will be available at absentee voting locations and polling sites during the election period September 22-October 7.
