"I Voted" Sticker Design Contest 2024

The Soldotna City Council is launching an "I Voted" Sticker Design Contest for 2024. Artists of all ages are invited to submit sticker designs that celebrate voting and Soldotna's civic pride. Winning designs will be printed and distributed to voters across the area.

Submissions are open May 15 – June 15, 2024. A panel of judges will review entries and select finalists in three categories (Future Voter, Youth, and Adult), followed by public voting July 1 – July 20. Winners will be announced July 27. Stickers will be available at absentee voting locations and polling sites during the election.

Designs must include the words "I Voted" or "Future Voter" (depending on category), be original artwork with no stock photos, AI-generated imagery, copyrighted material, or borrowed images. Designs must be nonpartisan, with no references to candidates, political parties, or issues, and must not include obscene, violent, or defamatory content or dates/years. Artwork will be printed on circular stickers and must fit provided templates without interfering with the City of Soldotna logo. Digital submissions must be JPEG/JPG format, under 5 MB, and 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side. Hand-rendered submissions must be on white paper.

Future Voter Category (under 13, Kenai Peninsula resident/student): $250 prize, one seasonal pass to Soldotna Regional Sports Complex, and City promotional items. Youth Category (ages 13-18, Kenai Peninsula resident/student): $500 prize, one seasonal pass, and City promotional items. Adult Category (19+, Kenai Peninsula Borough resident): $500 prize, one seasonal pass, and City promotional items. Minors require parental/legal guardian consent. Entries are judged on design requirement compliance, artistic skill and excellence, celebration of voting and civic pride, and relevance to Soldotna.
