I Spy

Ciel Gallery invites artists to participate in "I Spy," an exhibition celebrating observation and wonder in the everyday world. Work may focus on the natural world, human moments, oddities, or a glimpse of the hidden. Both 2-D and 3-D work in any medium are welcome, with no size restrictions, though space will be a consideration. All US artists are eligible to apply.

Entry fee is $35.00 for submission of 2 images; up to 3 additional images may be submitted for $10 per image, with a maximum of 5 images total. Images must be submitted as JPEG files sized to no less than 1920 pixels on the longest side and no greater than 5MB. All work must be original, created by the submitting artist. No prints (except photography), giclées, or prints on aluminum are accepted. Work must be clean, securely wired, and ready to hang. Submitted images must reflect the actual work as closely as possible.

All exhibited work must be for sale. A 40% commission will be taken on all works sold during the exhibition or within 30 days as a direct result of the exhibition. Payment will be mailed to the artist within 30 days of the exhibition closing. Unsold works will be returned via artist-supplied pre-paid label two to four weeks after the exhibition closes. Artists should supply their own insurance if desired. The gallery reserves the right to reproduce submitted images for media and publicity purposes with artist credit.

Prizes include Best of Show $500 and Binders Gift Certificates for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place. Judge is Lee Baumgarten. The opening reception is Friday, October 6, 6:00-9:00 PM. The exhibition closes Saturday, October 28. Pick-up by appointment is available on October 28, or artwork may be return-shipped. Applications must be received by 11:59 PM MST on Sunday, September 10, 2017 through www.callforentry.org.
