About This Call
Exhibizone presents Humorous 2024, a juried exhibition and promotion opportunity to showcase wit, humor, and satire in art. Humor has the remarkable ability to transcend language and cultural barriers, connecting people through laughter, shared ideas and experiences, and exposing underlying truths through the power of art.
Artists are encouraged to explore the vast realm of humor and its myriad interpretations, including whimsical portraiture, satirical social commentary, visual puns and wordplay, surreal absurdity, comic illustrations, everyday life with a twist, and abstract and conceptual work. All abstract and representational interpretations in any 2D and 3D art medium are welcomed. Selected artworks will be exhibited in an online smart group exhibition globally from April 19 to June 19, 2025.
Submission is free of charge. If selected, a USD 35 selection fee applies. Artists can submit up to 6 artworks; a maximum of 2 artworks will be accepted from each artist. Work sample requirements: 1-5 images. Selected artworks will be promoted for sale via the online exhibition link, featured on ARTSY, published in an exhibition catalogue, and may receive an Honorable Mention Award (up to 10 artists). All selected artists receive a digital certificate of participation, artist profile page on the Biafarin platform, exhibition links that remain active for life, downloadable exhibition poster, promotional badges, artwork reviews from visitors, analytics reports, and may be featured in publications within the Biafarin art network. A money-back guarantee is available for selection fee payments until the exhibition's official opening day. Artworks must be original, entirely the work of the entrant, and executed without instructor supervision. Artists must have all rights for presenting and publishing artworks internationally. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred, though there is no limit on creation year. There is no size limit for submitted artworks. Artworks that include pornography, violence, racial or religious hatred, or inappropriate or offensive content are not admissible.
