Humble Cup National Juried Exhibition

The Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts presents Humble Cup, a national juried exhibition exploring the ceramic cup form. Artists are invited to create pieces using the cup as a starting point, combining functional purpose with artistic vision. The exhibition aims to showcase the diversity of interpretations of this humble form, bridging craft and fine art.

Entry fee is $25 for up to three entries. Artists may submit 1-6 images total, with up to two images per artwork per entry. The entry deadline is July 12, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Juror selections will be announced July 15. The exhibition opens August 5 and closes October 2, 2022, with opening receptions during First Friday Art Trail on August 5 and September 2 from 6-9 p.m. Return shipping will occur the week of October 3, 2022.

Selected artists are responsible for shipping their work with prepaid return shipping to LHUCA, 511 Ave K, Lubbock, Texas 79401. Cash prizes include: 1st place $300, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $100, and two Honorable Mentions of $50 each.
