About This Call
The Hudson Valley Art Association invites submissions for its 89th Annual National Juried Exhibition at The Lyme Art Association Gallery in Old Lyme, CT. In the spirit of the Hudson River School of art tradition, jurors are seeking original representational images that display aesthetic appeal and technical skill.

Accepted media include Oil, Acrylic, Tempera, Watercolor, Sculpture, Pastel, and Graphics (drawing, intaglio, lithograph, or woodcut print). Work must be original; photographic, computer-assisted images, collage, prints, and photocopies are not accepted. Framed artwork must not exceed 44 inches in either direction. Entry fee is $50 for non-members or included with paid membership dues ($35). The exhibition runs April 15 - June 2, 2022, with an awards reception on Saturday, April 23, 2022 (5:30-7:30 p.m.). Artist notification is March 7, 2022. Receiving days are April 8-10, 2022 (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Work removal is June 3-5, 2022. Sales are split 70% to artists with a percentage of the sale price going to the HVAA Scholarship Fund. Jurors include Andrew Lattimore (Oil), Joel Popadics, AWS (Watercolor), Alain Picard (Pastel), Sandra Wakeen (Graphics), and Susan Wakeen (Sculpture). Open to all artists 18 years of age and over living in the United States.
