Hudson Valley Art Association 86th Annual National Juried Exhibition

The Hudson Valley Art Association invites artists to submit work for their 86th Annual National Juried Exhibition. Artists may enter up to two recent works not previously exhibited with HVAA, with only one work per artist included in the final exhibition. Work must be original in one of the following media: Oil, Acrylic, Tempera, Watercolor, Sculpture, Pastel, or Graphic (drawing, intaglio, lithograph, or woodcut print). Photographic, computer-assisted, and collage work are not accepted.

Entry fee is $50 for non-members (covers two entries) or included with paid membership dues ($35). Artists may submit in only one category. Work samples should include 1-6 images; the 6-image limit applies to sculptors who need to provide multiple views. Framed artwork must not exceed 44 inches in either direction and should be professionally framed without oval or garish framing. Sculpture is limited to 80 inches vertically (with pedestal) x 36 inches wide x 36 inches deep, with a maximum weight of 100 lbs. Reliefs are limited to 20 lbs and must not exceed 44 inches in any direction.

The exhibition runs from June 14 to August 1, 2019. Receiving days are June 8-9, 2019 (10 AM-5 PM). An awards reception is scheduled for June 22, 2019 (5-7 PM). Work removal is August 2-4, 2019. Juries include Daniel Greene (Oil), Janet Cook (Watercolor/Pastel), and Don & Sharon Gale (Sculpture/Graphics). Sales are split 75% to artists and 25% to the HVAA Scholarship Fund. Work should be shipped to the Lyme Art Association with a prepaid return label.
