Hudson Valley Art Association 85th Annual National Juried Exhibition

The Hudson Valley Art Association invites artists 18 years and older working in the United States to submit work for the 85th Annual National Juried Exhibition. The exhibition runs from June 15 to August 3, 2018, with an awards reception on June 23.

Artists may enter up to two recent works not previously exhibited with HVAA, though only one work per artist can be included in the final exhibition. Accepted media include oil, acrylic, tempera, watercolor, sculpture, pastel, and graphics (drawing, intaglio, lithograph, or woodcut print). Work must be original; photographic, computer-assisted, and collage work are not accepted. Framed artwork must not exceed 44 inches in either direction and must be professionally framed without oval or garish framing. Sculpture has a maximum weight of 100 lbs; reliefs are limited to 20 lbs for wall hanging.

Entry fees are $45 for non-members ($35 for members with paid dues) for the first entry, with a $10 fee for a second entry. Work samples should include 1-6 images. The jury includes Bruno Lucchesi (Sculpture), Don Demers (Oil), Tim Saternow (Watercolor), and Edgar Jerins (Drawing/Graphics/Pastel). Receiving days are June 9-10, 2018. Work should be shipped to the Lyme Art Association and must be wired and ready to hang. Sales are split 75% to artists and 25% to the HVAA Scholarship Fund.
