Hotter 'N Hell: A Collegiate Juried Exhibition

The Hotter 'N Hell National Collegiate Art Exhibition is a juried show featuring all art forms that use fire and heat as part of the creative process, including ceramics, glass-blowing, welded sculpture, poured metals, wood-burning, metalsmithing, and burned textiles. The exhibition is open to college and university students from across the United States.

Eligibility: Artists must be registered and attending a college or university in the United States. All work submitted must use fire and/or heat in its production and must be ready for display. Work cannot exceed eight feet in any dimension. Participants are responsible for shipping or delivering works.

Entry fee is $35 for one to three works, with one detail image for each piece included at no additional cost. Submissions must be made via CaFÉ with 1-6 images required. Important dates: March 1, 2020 deadline to enter; March 15, 2020 acceptance notifications; April 10, 2020 final day to deliver work; April 20, 2020 installation; August 20, 2020 last day of show; August 30, 2020 last day to pick up work. Prizes: Best in Show $1000, First Place $500, Second Place $200, Merit Award $100. Juror: James D. Borders.
