Hot Night in the City Gallery Exhibition

Worcester Center for Crafts invites artists to submit work for the Hot Night in the City Gallery Exhibition, curated by interdisciplinary artist and Worcester State Professor of Visual Art Brad Chapman Bleau. This is an open call for artists presenting their newest works or work made recently and rarely shown. The exhibition seeks pieces that push boundaries, experiment, compel, and demand attention.

Submission Requirements: Artwork must be new and not previously exhibited. All artwork must be wall and display ready and available for sale. Submit 3-15 images and up to 3 videos (3-18 total samples). Entry fee is $35. Results will be announced by June 13-14, 2026.

Event Details: Artwork drop-offs are July 9-11, 2026. The opening reception is July 17, 4-9pm, with the exhibition on view July 17 - August 8, 2026. Hot Night in the City is a summer celebration featuring live music, food trucks, artisan vendors, live demonstrations in clay, metals, and glass, and full access to the Handcrafted Shop representing over 300 artists. The event will be held rain or shine.
