HOPE springs... 2025 Exhibition

HOPE springs... explores the interplay between fragility and strength, light and shadow, despair and possibility. Through painting, sculpture, mixed media, and photography, the artists capture the essence of hope—delicate yet unyielding, fleeting yet eternal. Each piece tells a story of emergence, whether inspired by personal struggle, social change, or the cyclical rebirth found in nature. The imagery of sprouting seeds, sunlit horizons, and determined blooms serves as a metaphor for the human spirit's ability to endure and flourish, even in the harshest conditions.

The exhibition is open to artists in all of North America working in 2D, 3D, video, or jewelry in any medium. Original works completed in the past 5 years and not previously exhibited at Arts Illiana Gallery are eligible. There will be cash awards for select categories. All artwork must be for sale, and the gallery will take a 30% commission on sales. The entry fee is $20, and artists may submit up to 5 entries.

Opening reception: May 2, 2025, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Viewing dates: May 2 - June 19, 2025, Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM (gallery closed Sundays and Mondays). Accepted artwork must be delivered April 15-26, 2025 (Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM). Artists are responsible for transporting and insuring works in transit. Works not collected by June 19, 2025 will become the property of Arts Illiana. For submission questions, contact [email protected].
