About This Call
"Hope is a Waking Dream" is a multi-part group exhibition curated by the Telluride Council for the Arts and Humanities in partnership with the Wilkinson Public Library in Telluride. Part 3 will be exhibited in the Magazine Room. The exhibition runs quarterly from July-August and September-November. Artists are invited to explore the transformative yet fleeting nature of hope and the power it holds to propel us forward.
Eligible artists must live and/or work in the Telluride region (defined as: North—Montrose, East—Ouray, South—Rico, West—Norwood). There are no age limitations. The entry deadline is August 1, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The entry fee is $20.00. Applications will be subject to blind review by designated juror panels, with selection based on quality and artistic merit, creativity, and innovation. Only one piece per selected artist will be exhibited. Application review will take place in May 2025, with all applicants notified of status by May 27, 2025.
Applications must include an artist statement and bio (PDF preferred), proof of residency, and work samples (limit 3 separate pieces per application). Accepted art forms are 2D visual work including paintings, photographs, and mixed media on canvas. All artwork must be framed and ready to hang, and must fit one of the specified space parameters (ranging from 24"w x 72"h to 108"w x 32"h). Artists must designate artwork as either "Available for Purchase" or "Display Only," with pricing required for purchase-designated pieces. Artists assume full responsibility for shipping, handling, and all costs associated with delivery to and from Telluride. Contact [email protected] or 970-728-3930 with questions.
