Home is Where the Heart Is

Drawing Rooms invites submissions for "Home is Where the Heart Is," an exhibition running October 23 - November 16, 2025, with an opening reception on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The exhibition features works that relate to the home, including imagery of houses, interior contents, furniture, architectural elements, still life, room images, neighborhood views, and other domestic subjects. No people should appear in the work. The exhibition is dedicated to The Beatles and their song "Two of Us" from the album Let It Be.

Acceptable works include 2-dimensional works (painting, drawing, collage, textiles, photography, prints) and 3-dimensional works or video. Works must be original, unframed or framed in simple white, black, or wood tones, and ready-to-hang. All works must be for sale. Shipped 2D works must be no larger than 18 x 24 inches and unframed. Works can be dropped off Friday, October 10, 4-7p or Saturday, October 11, 4:30-7:30p at Drawing Rooms, 926 Newark Ave. T101, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Mail-in submissions must arrive by Saturday, October 11, 2025. Pickup is Sunday, November 16, 6-8p or Monday, November 17, 4-7p. Mail back begins Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

Entry fee is $35. Submit up to 3 JPG images of unframed work, minimum 1,200 pixels on the shorter dimension. Artists must be over 18 and international submissions are welcome. Artist notification is September 25, 2025. All works are insured while in the gallery's possession. Sales commissions are split 60% to artists and 40% to Drawing Rooms, with payment within 30 days of sale. Meet the Artists events are scheduled for November 2, 9, and 16, 2025.
