Homage

Homage is a national juried visual art exhibition hosted by 311 Gallery in Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The exhibition runs December 1-29, 2023, with an opening reception on December 1st from 6-9pm. This exhibition features works inspired by famous artworks across all of history, with inspiration drawn from visual art, music, film, dance, and other sources. Artists may interpret the theme as loosely as desired.

Works of any physical medium are eligible, including 2D and 3D pieces such as painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, and sculpture. Audio and video submissions are not accepted. All works must be for sale and cannot exceed 72 inches in any dimension. The gallery's patrons favor purchases in the sub-$2,000 range. Works will be accepted on a piece-by-piece basis due to space limitations. Digital or photographic works may be submitted as editioned or non-editioned prints, with in-house printing services available for an additional fee.

Entry fee is $25 for the first work and $5 per additional work, with a maximum of $70 for up to 10 total works. All United States artists, including those in Hawaii and Alaska, are eligible. Artists will be notified of acceptance status approximately 3-5 days after the deadline. If accepted, works must be hand-delivered or mailed to the gallery by November 25-26, 2023. The commission rate is 60% artist and 40% gallery after card processing fees. A best in show prize of $200 value in print services will be awarded. Expected pickup dates are December 30-31, 2023, and January 2, 2024.
