Holy Moly, What's Next?

Holy Moly, What's Next? is an exhibition call for predictions and reflections on the future. Artists are invited to use their creative skills to reflect their vision of the future and influences of the past, from a personal or global perspective. Consider environmental, political, religious, medical, or other societal issues. Envision an issue with an ideal utopian outcome or a dystopian future.

Eligibility: Applicants must be over 18. Original 2D or 3D work only (no videos). All work must be original, created by the artist or as an independent group effort, and for sale. No reproductions or giclees. Artwork must be well executed, clean, dry, and ready to display. 2D work must be ready to hang with secure wire on the back (no zigzag or triangular hangers, no plastic frames; use simple frames). Unframed paintings on canvas or board must have at least a 1½ inch border. 2D work cannot exceed 48 inches wide by 72 inches long. 3D work must not exceed 50 pounds; if more than 25 pounds, the artist may need to help install. Wall-hung 3D work cannot exceed 25 pounds. Pedestal-displayed 3D work should not exceed 24 by 24 inches at the base. 3D work must be sturdy and able to stand alone.

Entry fee is $35 for 1 to 3 entries. Submit 1 to 3 images. Entry deadline: November 28, 2022. Notification of accepted works: December 3, 2022. Accepted artwork must be delivered in person to 915 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO 80204 on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 11 AM to 3 PM. No shipping. Exhibition dates: December 9, 2022 to January 14, 2023. Artists reception: Friday, December 16 from 5-8 PM. Pickup: Sunday, January 15 from 1-4 PM. The gallery retains a 40% commission on sales; artists receive 60%. Artists are paid within 40 days after the exhibit ends.
