Holy Moly: Religious and/or Political Commentary in Contemporary Art

Holy Moly is an exhibition of religious and/or political commentary in contemporary art, running October 28, 2018 through January 5, 2019 at Niza Knoll Gallery in Denver. The exhibition is juried by Greg Moon, a professional artist with over 120 exhibition credits and 18 one-man shows.

This is a regional call for artists from Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Utah. All media are accepted, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, drawing, ink, assemblage, collage, prints, photography, and sculpture. Entry fee is $35.00 for up to three entries. Accepted artists must deliver work in person to the gallery on October 24 between 1-3 p.m. or October 25 between 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Work cannot be mailed. The opening reception is Sunday, October 28 from 12-3 p.m.

Requirements: Art must be original, created by the artist (no reproductions or giclees). All 2D work must be ready to hang with secure wire on the back and framed in simple black frames only. Work must not exceed 48 inches wide by 60 inches high. All 3D work must not exceed 50 pounds (25 pounds if wall-hung). Sculpture must be sturdy and stand-alone. All work must be clearly marked on the back with artist name, title, medium, size, and price. Artists receive 60% of retail sales; the gallery retains 40%. Unsold work can be picked up Saturday, January 5 from 4-6 p.m. Sold artwork will be paid within 30 days after the exhibit closes. Awards of recognition will be given in categories to be determined.
