Holiday Small Works Show

The Rhode Island Watercolor Society invites submissions for the Holiday Small Works Show. This exhibition will take place both online and in person at the gallery in Pawtucket, RI from November 19th through December 22nd, with an opening reception on November 19th (time TBA).

Submit 1-3 pieces of 2D media no greater than 20 inches on the longest side (including frame) and priced at or below $300. Work must have been completed within the last 10 years and may not be copied from copyrighted material or partially/wholly painted by another artist. Acceptable media include watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, collage, mixed media, monotype, photography, and egg tempera. Work must be professionally presented; framed work must be under glass or Plexiglas and wired with no visible wire or hanger. Paintings on canvas or wood do not need to be framed but should have clean, professionally finished sides.

Entries will be reviewed by a panel of professional artists. Notification of acceptance will be sent November 5th. Drop-off and shipping dates are November 5th-18th (Thursdays & Fridays 10am-4pm, Saturdays 10am-3pm). Shipped work must arrive by November 18th with tracking information provided to [email protected]. Pick-up dates are December 23rd, 28th, 29th, and 30th (10am-4pm). Return shipping dates are December 23rd through January 21st. Entry fee is $10 for non-members; members submit free with coupon code. The Rhode Island Watercolor Society retains 35% of sales. Open to all artists in the United States.
