Holiday Extravaganza -- Open Call

The MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) invites artists, photographers, and sculptors of all levels to submit original artwork to this national open call exhibition. Any subject matter, style, or technique is welcome. The gallery accepts painting, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, digital, pastel, encaustic, sculpture, fiber, drawing, and photography.

Located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the gallery is situated in the third largest metropolitan area in the state and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, particularly during the holiday season when art sales typically increase. The exhibition runs December 7, 2024 through January 10, 2025. Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images, with additional images available for $5.00 each up to 9 maximum. Artists must submit 3-9 JPEG images (under 5 MB, minimum 1200 pixels on longest side) through CAFE (CallForEntry) by October 12, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification to artists will be sent on or about October 15, 2024.

Accepted artwork must arrive by December 4, 2024. All artwork must be professionally finished and equipped with stretched wire for installation. Paintings should not exceed 48 inches (framed) on the longest side or weigh more than 45 lbs; sculpture should not exceed 24 inches on any dimension. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. A prepaid return shipping label must be enclosed with artwork. For sales, artists receive 70% of the final sale price and the gallery receives 30%. Awards include an "Art of Distinction" Award, an annual Grand Prize offering a New York City exhibition opportunity, and an optional Director's Choice Award of $200.
