HMVC Gallery presents The Sweet Life

HMVC Gallery presents an online group show celebrating "The Sweet Life" - artworks that portray joy, happiness, and things that bring meaning to life. The exhibition runs from October 1-31, 2023.

Artists may submit up to 20 high-quality images for consideration. One artwork from each selected artist will be featured in the group show. Submissions must include an Artist Bio and Artist Statement. Accepted image formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, and WEBP with dimensions of 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side and file size under 2 MB. All mediums of visual art are welcome except video/film. Entries must be received by September 27, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by September 30th.

All participating artists will be featured on the HMVC Gallery website and virtual gallery platform and will receive a certificate of participation. A video featuring all participating artists' artworks will be screened on a jumbotron billboard in Times Square in October. Cash prizes are awarded: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and Third Place (online solo show for one month plus solo certificate). Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account to receive funds within 14 days of responding to HMVC. Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for additional entries (non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance). Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang. By submitting, artists grant HMVC Gallery New York the right to use images on their website, social media, and online for promotion, with full credit and copyright remaining with the artist.
