HMVC Gallery presents Summer of '24

HMVC Gallery presents an online group show titled "Summer of '24" running July 1-31, 2024. Artists are invited to visually share their summer plans and celebrate the warmth, vibrancy, and creativity that summer brings. The gallery welcomes artworks from all mediums of visual art, except AI-created art and video/film. Artists can submit up to 20 artworks for juror consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be included in the group show. High-quality images, an artist bio, and an artist statement are required.

Entry deadline is June 27, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by June 30th. The submission fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for additional entries (non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance). Image requirements: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format; minimum 1200 pixels or maximum 2560 pixels on the longest side; under 2 MB. All participating artists will be featured on the website and virtual gallery and will receive an HMVC Gallery New York certificate of participation. A video clip featuring all participating artists' artworks will be screened on a jumbotron billboard in Times Square in July.

Awards include: Best of Show winner receives $150; Second Place winner receives $100; Third Place winner receives an online solo show at HMVC Gallery New York running for one month, plus a solo certificate. All artworks will be featured on the Times Square jumbotron billboard. Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account to receive their prize money within 14 days of responding to HMVC. Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang. By submitting images, artists grant HMVC Gallery New York the right to use their images on the website, social media, and online to promote exhibitions, with full credit and copyright remaining with the artist.
