HMVC Gallery presents Summer Feels

HMVC Gallery invites artists across all mediums to submit work for [Summer Feels], a July group show celebrating unique interpretations of summer. Artists are welcome to submit work in all mediums of visual art except AI-created art, video, and film.

Submission Requirements: Artists must provide high-quality images of their artwork, an artist bio, and an artist statement. Up to 3 artworks may be submitted for consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be included in the group show. Images must be submitted in JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format, with dimensions of 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side and file size under 2 MB. All entries will be judged by jurors Heini Mika and Vincent Chang. Digital entries must be received by June 27, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by June 30, 2023. The show will premiere on July 1st and end on July 31st.

Awards and Recognition: All participating artists will be featured on the HMVC Gallery website and virtual gallery platform and will receive a certificate of participation. The exhibition will also be featured on a jumbotron in Times Square in July. Cash prizes are awarded to two artists: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and Third Place (online solo show for one month plus solo certificate). Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account; prizes will be sent within 14 days of response.

Fees: Entry fee is $25 for the first submission and $10 for each additional entry. Fees are non-refundable and do not guarantee acceptance. By submitting images, artists grant HMVC Gallery New York the right to use their images on the website, social media, and online to promote exhibitions, with full credit and copyright remaining with the artist.
