HMVC Gallery presents Rebel Rebel

HMVC Gallery presents a November Group Art Show titled "Rebel Rebel." Rebels are at the core of every culture—those who break the rules, resist authority, or challenge the status quo in nontraditional ways. Throughout history, rebels have driven positive change in areas such as Women's Rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and social norms. This show celebrates rebels in all forms, whether you are inspired by a famous rebel, know one personally, or are one yourself.

Artists must submit high-quality images of their artwork along with an Artist Bio and Artist Statement. Up to 3 artworks may be submitted for consideration, though only 1 artwork per artist will be included in the group show. The entry fee is $40 for up to 3 images. Accepted image formats include JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, and WEBP, with dimensions of 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side and file size under 2 MB. Artworks from all mediums of visual art are welcome, except video/film. All entries will be judged by jurors Heini Mika and Vincent Chang, with final decisions made by the jurors.

The show runs from November 1-30, 2023. All participating artists will be featured on the gallery's website and virtual gallery platform, promoted in the newsletter and on Instagram (@hmvcgallery), and will receive a certificate of participation. Two winners will be selected to have solo shows the following month, each lasting two weeks, with additional promotion and a second certificate recognizing their achievement. Digital entries must be received by October 28, 2022 before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, with acceptance notifications sent by email by October 31st.
