HMVC Gallery presents Piece Of Me

HMVC Gallery presents an online group show titled "Piece Of Me" exploring self-expression and personal narratives. The show celebrates the human experience, emphasizing both similarities and differences between people. Artists are encouraged to contribute intimate and personal work that authentically expresses their story and perspective. Any medium or style of visual art is welcome, except AI-created art and video/film.

Artists may submit up to 20 artworks for consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be featured in the group show. Submissions must include high-quality images, an artist bio, and an artist statement. Images must be in JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format, with dimensions between 1200-2560 pixels on the longest side and file size under 2 MB. Digital entries must be received by January 29, 2024 before 11:59 p.m. EST. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by January 31, 2024. The show runs February 1-29, 2024.

Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for additional entries (non-refundable, does not guarantee acceptance). All participating artists will be featured on the HMVC Gallery website and virtual gallery, receive a certificate of participation, and have their work included in a video screening on a Times Square jumbotron billboard in February. Awards include: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and Third Place (one-month online solo show). Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account; prizes will be sent within 14 days of response. The Third Place winner also receives a solo certificate. Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang. By submitting, artists grant HMVC Gallery New York the right to use images on their website, social media, and online promotions, with full credit and copyright remaining with the artist.
