HMVC Gallery presents Moments

HMVC Gallery invites artists to participate in "Moments," an online group show celebrating instances that have left an indelible mark on artists' practices and lives. The show welcomes artworks from all mediums of visual art, except AI-created art and video/film. Artists can submit up to 20 artworks for jurors' consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be included in the group show. High-quality images, an Artist Bio, and an Artist Statement are required.

Entry deadline is May 29th, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by May 31st. The show will premiere on June 1st and end on June 30th. Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for additional entries (non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance). Image requirements: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format; minimum 1200 pixels or maximum 2560 pixels on the longest side; under 2 MB.

All participating artists will be featured on the website and virtual gallery and will receive an HMVC Gallery New York certificate of participation. A video clip featuring all participating artists' artworks will be screened on a jumbotron billboard in Times Square in June. Cash prizes are awarded: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and Third Place (online solo show). Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account; prizes will be sent within 14 days of response. The Third Place winner will have their own online solo show at HMVC Gallery New York running for one month and will receive a solo certificate. Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang; their decision is final.
