HMVC Gallery presents Influence

HMVC Gallery presents "Influence," a group show celebrating artworks depicting things that have influenced you and your art. The gallery welcomes submissions from all mediums of visual art, except AI-created art and video/film. Artists can submit up to 20 artworks for juror consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be included in the final group show.

Submission Requirements: High-quality images of artwork (JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format; 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side; under 2 MB), an Artist Bio, and an Artist Statement. Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for additional entries (non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance). Digital entries must be received by August 28, 2023 before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by August 31st. The show runs September 1-30, 2023.

Awards: All participating artists will be featured on the HMVC Gallery website and virtual gallery platform and will receive a certificate of participation. A video clip of "Influence" featuring all participating artists' artworks will be screened on a jumbotron in Times Square every Saturday in September. Cash prizes include: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and Third Place (online solo show for one month plus solo certificate). Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account; prizes will be sent within 14 days of response. Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang; their decision is final. By submitting, artists grant HMVC Gallery New York the right to use images on their website, social media, and online to promote exhibitions, with full credit and copyright remaining with the artist.
