HMVC Gallery presents Harmony & Diversity

HMVC Gallery presents an online group show exploring the theme of harmony and diversity in September 2024. The exhibition celebrates how unity emerges from acknowledging and celebrating diversity, bringing together various artistic styles, subject matters, and expressions. Artists are invited to submit artworks that showcase their unique voices and visions.

Artworks from all mediums of visual art are welcome, except AI-created art, video, and film. Artists may submit up to 20 images for consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be included in the final group show. Digital entries must be received by August 28, 2024 before 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by August 31st. The show runs September 1-30, 2024.

Submission requirements include high-quality images, an artist bio, and an artist statement. Images must be in JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format, with dimensions between 1200-2560 pixels on the longest side and file size under 2 MB. The entry fee is $25 for the first submission and $10 for additional entries (non-refundable, does not guarantee acceptance). All participating artists will be featured on the website and virtual gallery, receive a certificate of participation, and have their work screened on a Times Square jumbotron billboard. Awards include: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and Third Place (online solo show at HMVC Gallery). Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account. The third-place winner receives a solo show running for one month and a solo certificate. Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang.
