HMVC Gallery presents Flower Waltz

HMVC Gallery New York invites artists to submit flower-themed artworks for an online group show celebrating the Spring season and the enduring representations of flowers in art. The show explores the rich tradition of floral symbolism across cultures and historical eras, from still-life paintings and botanical illustrations to Pre-Raphaelite and contemporary works.

Artists may submit up to 20 artworks in any medium of visual art except AI-created art, video, and film. Submissions must include high-quality images (JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format; 1200-2560 pixels on longest side; under 2 MB), an Artist Bio, and an Artist Statement. The entry fee is $35 for the first submission and $10 for additional entries. Digital entries must be received by April 28, 2025 before 11:59 AM Eastern Standard Time. Acceptance notifications will be sent by email by April 30, 2025. The show will premiere on May 1st and run through May 31st.

All participating artists will be featured on the HMVC Gallery website and virtual gallery, receive a certificate of participation, and have their work included in a video clip screened on a Times Square jumbotron billboard in New York City. Cash prizes are awarded: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and Third Place (online solo show at HMVC Gallery for one month plus solo certificate). Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account to receive funds within 14 days of responding to HMVC. Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang. By submitting, artists grant HMVC Gallery New York the right to use images for website, social media, and promotional purposes, with full credit and copyright remaining with the artist.
