HMVC Gallery presents Best Of Me

HMVC Gallery invites artists to submit their best and most personal creations for the October group show "Best of Me." This exhibition celebrates self-expression and authenticity, with each piece expected to showcase the artist's technical mastery and creative vision while embodying their authentic voice. Subject matter is open; artists are free to explore any theme or concept that speaks to them. Artworks from all mediums of visual art are welcome, except AI-created art and video/film.

Artists may submit up to 20 artworks for juror consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be included in the final group show. High-quality images must be submitted along with an Artist Bio and Artist Statement. Accepted images must be in JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format, with dimensions between 1200-2560 pixels on the longest side and file size under 2 MB. Digital entries must be received by September 26th, 2024 before 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by September 30th. The show runs October 1st-31st.

All participating artists will be featured on the HMVC Gallery website and virtual gallery, receive a certificate of participation, and have their work screened on a Times Square jumbotron billboard in New York City. Cash prizes are awarded: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and Third Place (online solo show at HMVC Gallery for one month plus solo certificate). Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account; prizes will be sent within 14 days of response. The submission fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for additional entries (non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance). Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang; their decision is final.
