HMVC Gallery presents Abstract is Abstract

HMVC Gallery presents an online group art show celebrating abstract art. The exhibition welcomes abstract artworks from all mediums of visual art, except AI-created art and video/film. Artists can submit up to 3 artworks for jurors' consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be included in the group show.

Submission Requirements: Artists must provide high-quality images of their artwork, an Artist Bio, and an Artist Statement. Accepted image formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, and WEBP with dimensions of 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side and file size under 2 MB. The entry fee is $40 for up to 3 images and is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. Digital entries must be received by April 27th, 2023 before 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by April 30th. The show will premiere on May 1st and end on May 31st.

Awards: All participating artists will be featured on the HMVC Gallery website and Virtual Gallery platform and will receive a certificate of participation. Cash prizes will be awarded to two artists: Best of Show winner receives $150, Second Place winner receives $100. The Third Place winner will receive an online Solo Show at HMVC Gallery New York running for one month and a solo certificate. Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account to receive their prize money within 14 days of responding to HMVC. Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang, and their decision is final.
