HMVC Gallery presents 2024

HMVC Gallery invites artists to participate in their December 2024 online group show, "Rewind and Reflect." This annual tradition celebrates artworks created throughout the year. Artists are welcome to submit work that reflects on their own life, captures a moment or event from 2024, or explores any source of inspiration. All mediums of visual art are welcome, except AI-created art and video/film.

Artists may submit up to 20 artworks for juror consideration; one artwork from each selected artist will be featured in the final group show. Digital entries must be received by November 28th, 2024 before 11:59 p.m. EST. Acceptance notifications will be sent by email by November 30th. The show runs December 1st through December 31st, 2024. Submissions require high-quality images (JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, or WEBP format; 1200-2560 pixels on longest side; under 2 MB), an Artist Bio, and an Artist Statement. The entry fee is $35 for the first submission and $10 for additional entries (non-refundable, does not guarantee acceptance).

All participating artists will be featured on HMVC Gallery's website and virtual gallery and will receive a certificate of participation. A video featuring all participating artists' artworks will be screened on a Times Square jumbotron billboard in December (or when possible). Cash prizes are awarded: Best of Show ($150), Second Place ($100), and Third Place (online solo show at HMVC Gallery for one month plus solo certificate). Winners of cash prizes must have a working PayPal account; prizes will be sent within 14 days of response. Jurors are Heini Mika and Vincent Chang. By submitting, artists grant HMVC Gallery the right to use images on their website, social media, and online promotions, with full credit and copyright remaining with the artist.
