About This Call

HMVC Gallery New York is hosting an October Group Show examining love and hate. The show is inspired by the birthday month of Heini Mika, the gallery's Co-Founder and CEO, who is fascinated by dualities. The gallery seeks artworks that depict things, people, moments, or places that some people love but others hate. All mediums of visual art are welcome except video and film.

Artists may submit up to 3 artworks for consideration by jurors Heini Mika and Vincent Chang. One artwork per artist will be included in the group show. Accepted image formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, and WEBP with dimensions of 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side and file size under 2 MB. Digital entries must be received by September 27, 2022 before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by September 30. The show runs from October 1-31, 2022.

All participating artists will receive a certificate of participation. Two artists will be selected during the show to have their own solo shows the following month and will receive an additional certificate recognizing their achievement. Entry fee is $20. International submissions are welcome.
