Hit That Shutter 2011 Undergraduate Photo Survey

Hit That Shutter announces a call for entries for publication in a professionally printed collection of undergraduate work from around the country. Students in any undergraduate program with a concentration of photography can submit any photographically derived work. The purpose of this publication is to present a collection of current work from Undergraduate Photography Programs nationwide and act as a survey of current trends in contemporary photography.

Entry Deadline: midnight MDT April 8, 2011. Entry Fee: $30.00 for up to 5 entries. Submissions must include a completed entry form, up to five images correctly formatted and labeled, and a statement about your work (up to 1000 characters). Images will be reviewed by a panel including Hit That Shutter members and invited jurors. Accepted artists will be notified in late April. Randomly selected submissions will be periodically featured on the Hit That Shutter website.

Awards: The top selected student photographer receives $500.00 cash prize, inclusion in the annual publication and Best of Show Exhibition. The top three selected photographers receive copies of the book and inclusion in the Best of Show Exhibition. The top 10 selected photographers receive copies of the book and inclusion in the publication. The instructor listed on the entry form also receives a $500.00 cash prize. Hit That Shutter will invite the Top Three selected artists to exhibit in an exclusive show. The Top Three selected artists will receive $100 to apply toward shipping and return of their work. Selected artists are responsible for printing, framing, and shipping of submitted images. All works must be professionally printed and presented. Copyright and all rights remain with the photographer. Hit That Shutter may use submitted images for marketing and promotional purposes including exhibitions, print and digital media. Submitted materials will not be returned.
