Hip Hop: A Black Tie Affair - the Remix

The Remix invites artists to create their own visual and conceptual blends, bringing together elements of hip-hop culture through their chosen medium. Whether it's the lyrics of the verses, the beats of the music, the creativity of fashion, the bold statements of graffiti—this exhibit will showcase the far-reaching influence of hip-hop as a genre and its imprint on overall culture.

Open to visual artists 18 years and older residing in OH, PA, and WV. All visual mediums will be considered. Artists may submit up to 2 works. Works must be original, completed within the last two calendar years, and not previously exhibited at the Stifel Fine Arts Center. All works must be for sale; the Stifel Fine Arts Center will retain a 30% commission on the sale price. Entry is free. Submit high-resolution images (300 dpi) online by January 19, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST through CaFÈ.

Awards: 1st prize $250, 2nd prize $150, 3rd prize $100. Exhibition dates: February 10-15, 2025. Closing Reception: February 15, 2025 (6:30-8:30 p.m.).
