About This Call
The Mountaintop Art and Craft Show is a premier outdoor event held annually in the beautiful mountain town of Highlands, NC. Known for its high-quality, original, and traditional artwork, the event draws hundreds of visitors and loyal customers year after year. This two-day event is an excellent opportunity for exhibitors to showcase their work in a scenic, vibrant setting. The show is sponsored and produced by Mountaintop Rotary Club of Highlands NC, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Proceeds from the event support local and international causes, aligning with the Rotary Club's mission to make a positive impact. The event takes place June 27-28, 2026.
Show categories include fine art, woodworking, jewelry, metal, pottery, fabric art, baskets, glass, and more. The outdoor show runs 10am-5pm Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday, rain or shine. All work must be original, handcrafted, created and exhibited by the approved artist. Kits, imports and mass-produced items will not be tolerated. Wearable art shall be of original design and limited edition. Exhibitors must bring their own white tents and side walls to fit into 10x10 spaces (double spaces available). Booths must be manned at all times and exhibitors must be present during the entire show. Setup is Friday before the show; vehicles must be moved out of the park by 8am Saturday. Breakdown takes place no earlier than 4pm Sunday.
Booth pricing: Regular (Non Premium) $225 per booth; Premium Booth $260 per booth. A Premium location has active traffic paths on at least two sides. The Park has both paved and grassy areas, a stage, public restrooms, and local food vendors within walking distance. Public WiFi is available, with an exhibitor-only channel for credit card transactions. By State Law, exhibitors are responsible for collecting and remitting NC Sales tax of 6.75%. Application fee is $35. Refund policy: 60+ days before event = full refund; 30-59 days = 50% refund; less than 30 days = no refunds or credits.
