About This Call
The Mountaintop Art and Craft Show is a premier outdoor event held annually in Highlands, NC. This two-day event draws hundreds of visitors and loyal customers year after year. The show is sponsored and produced by Mountaintop Rotary Club of Highlands NC, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Proceeds from the event support local and international causes, aligning with the Rotary Club's mission to make a positive impact.
Show categories include fine art, woodworking, jewelry, metal, pottery, fabric art, baskets, glass, and more. The outdoor show takes place rain or shine from 10am-5pm Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday at Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park. All work must be original, handcrafted, created and exhibited by the approved artist. Kits, imports and mass-produced items will not be tolerated. Wearable art shall be of original design and limited edition. Booths must be manned at all times and exhibitors must be present during the entire show. All booths are minimum 10x10 spaces. Exhibitors must bring their own white tents and side walls. Regular booth spaces are $225 per booth; premium locations (with active traffic paths on at least two sides) are $260 per booth. Double spaces may be requested. Setup is Friday before the show; vehicles must be moved out of the park by 8am Saturday. Breakdown takes place no earlier than 4pm Sunday.
Application fee is $35. The application deadline is June 30, 2026. The event takes place August 29-30, 2026. Refunds are available if cancellation occurs 60 or more days before the event (full refund), 30-59 days before (50% refund), or less than 30 days before (no refund). By State Law, exhibitors are responsible for collecting and remitting NC Sales tax of 6.75%.
