About This Call

The Highlands Art and Craft Show is holding a juried competition for artists accepted to the August 29-30, 2026 event. The competition features three professionally qualified jurors awarding First, Second, and Third place ribbons in each category, with awards presented on stage by Noon on Saturday. Best in Show and Best Booth awards will be presented on stage at 3 pm.

Entries must be original work created by the artist within the last two years. Artists may enter one item per application with a $10 entry fee per application. Maximum of three different pieces may be entered in separate applications, each in one of the three categories: Two Dimensional (painting, drawing, photography, collage, stained glass, fiber art, original prints, and other two dimensional art and craft), Three Dimensional (sculpture, carving, mobiles, ceramics, glass, and other three dimensional handmade art and craft), or Functional (handcrafted serving boards, pottery, candle holders, toys and games, furniture, birdhouses, original clothing, table linens, and other functional art and craft pieces). One high-resolution photo is required for each entry.

Winners will be notified in person on Saturday morning and receive their award at a public ceremony. Award ribbons are designed for display at winners' booths. The juried section application deadline is August 20, 2026. Entries must be available at the artist's booth at 9 am Saturday, August 29, 2026, and will be moved to the judging area and back to the booth by the artist or an associate.
