Hi-Art 2015

Hi-Art is an annual art exhibit for high school art students in the Santa Cruz Valley. Art students from high schools in Sahuarita, AZ, Rio Rico, AZ, and Nogales, AZ are invited to apply. The exhibit offers students an opportunity to learn how to professionally present their work, use online exhibit application software, share their work with the larger community, and sell their artwork.

Hi-Art 2015 has no entry fee. All media is accepted. Students may enter 1 or 2 works of art for the exhibit. High quality JPEG images of artwork, an Artist Statement, and Artist Bio are required to apply. The entry deadline is Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Art delivery is due at TCA on Monday, April 27, 2015. The opening reception is Friday, May 1, 2015 from 5-7 pm, with exhibit dates running Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 17, 2015. Unsold art may be picked up at TCA Monday, May 18 through Wednesday, May 20, 2015.

Awards will be chosen by juror Christian Ramirez from the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tucson. Awards include: Best of Show ($300), Sid Cedargreen Award ($200), Award of Excellence ($150), Best 3-Dimensional Art ($150), and Award of Merit ($100). A Tubac Cowboy Christmas Scholarship Fund award of $1,000 is also available. Artists are invited to submit a high resolution file (at least 300 dpi) of their exhibit image for consideration for use in print promotions to [email protected].
